We always forget about poor old Virgin Mobile, so were quite surprised to receive news that the network has launched the top-of-the-range Samsung Galaxy S – and is doing the very new Android phone on a rather impressive £30 contract.
For your monthly fee you get 800 minutes of human talk time, unlimited texts and “unlimited” mobile web access – which is 1GB of data according to Virgin.

That’s pretty sweet. We might be tempted to take Virgin up on that, if it had a mast anywhere near any of the places we go. There’s a load more tariffs on Virgin’s site – including a bizarre option to pay a £200 upfront fee for the Galaxy S in return for a £25 monthly charge.
